You made a nice point here that "a sane cop who.....no matter a scary giant sojoketo tried to reach out to the clove box of his car". But he asked for ur license and registration and u reached over to clove box and the expection was you would hand over those papers, even with those expectations, the cop had his hand on top of his gun just in case.

Now, if the cop had pulled u over aster a 911 call and with some suspicion, if the cop had asked you to show ur hands and keep ur hands up but u, not a scary sojoketo but a really sojo sojoketo, did not understand english, so tried to reach over to clove box to show ur registration. Imagine wat the same cop would have done....

There r bad cops n there r good cops. The same way we cannot get rid of thugs out of the street, we cannot get rid of all bad cops or bad judgement of some cops. So wat's the solution then?? Lets say our parents are here n they do not understand english. How do we prevent such outcome if they ever encounter the police??? On Cops side, they definitely need more training or awareness about how to handle those situations but our action is the best way to prevent these situations. Our parents should be made aware that in any police encounter, do not make sudden movement especially when the cops are patting you.
