Training was little bit hard not as hard as I had thought. Mentally challenging physically less challenging.If anyone wanna join the army I would say go for it. There are lots of Nepalese in the US army now .Single people don't make good money but if your married you make good money (around 3-5k)monthly depends on which state u stationed. Medical free for u and your spouse. Get around $50,000 for further college education.If you get deployed u make more money and if u stationed overseas u get separation allowance (around $300 monthly).upto $400,000 life insurance.After we join the army we can give language test, unfortunately they don't have it for Nepali but we can give for hindi if we pass they pay us extra $300 monthly.30 days paid vacation yearly. A lot of 4 days weekend.Even on regular week u just work from monday -thursday and friday is half-day.
Cons: sometimes it sucks. You just have to follow orders. We don't make decision we just follow orders. whatever high ranks tell us we have to execute.sometimes you have to work overtime and on weekends too but don't get single penny for that.Sometimes you have to go to field for weeks or a month.Without showers and hot food, work long hours on dirt.
