I am also visiting Nepal on January 18. But I haven't submitted the DS-160 form yet to take the interview date. If I submit the form now would I be able to get January 19th or 20th date.
Regarding PIMS verification, even if you send mail from US for verification, they won't respond so you have to depend on US Embassy of Nepal for that, I got that update yesterday from one of my friend who completed the interview recently.
