Got a feeling you got approached by an agent associated with either Primerica or Premier Financial Alliance. Some cunning agent almost had me convinced to sign up for IUL under PFA while visiting VA late this fall.
From my understanding, the main objective of those agents is to have as many Nepalese sign up for Life-Term Insurance and/or other retirement funds. They work on commission basis (no shit, right?) and these days, there's a cut throat competition to sign up as many people as possible.
I'd rather go to investopedia or go through money.cnn.com and/or several other blogs and sites that offer some ideas. At this point of time, I'd definitely advise against signing up for anything long-term.
