Laziness ate my words!!

In last 3 months couple of people cared to send me notes asking why I have stopped writing or actually posting on Sajha.com ( Thank you so much for your concern and attention). My answer was, “ I don’t feel like writing…I have nothing to write about…my life has become mundane….blah blah”.

But the truth is I didn’t want to write. I saw stories flying right and left but I was not even bothered once to catch the stories. Have watched so many movies ( could have done a review)….have met weird people with interesting characteristics and philosophy ( which is always such a topic for me to write)….and events that can be glorified as a story in no time. But why did Ambrosia aka Amby of Sajha gave up??

Thinking for almost 15 days now I have actually come to a conclusion. Perhaps most of you wont agree but we have been doing things which we don’t wanna do. Like say, you don’t wanna study at all but you have exams and you don’t have a choice so you force yourself to do so….a kid might not wanna go to a party but he has to coz his parents want him to….you don’t like your job and you hate going to office but have to stick to this job coz you have to pay your bills. There are so many other examples that you can add to this list.

I couldn’t force myself to write. I was being lazy. I was distracted. I was carried away by facebook and other social networks each time I sit down to write. At the end of all this with much regret I say my writing skills had gotten rusty. I cant express my ideas. I am running out of words. So at the end who is at loss? Me and only me!

Realisation:- There are times when you really don’t wanna do what you gotta do, but you have to get up and force yourself to do that.Analize what is important for you to do. It will be hard in the beginning but the key to it is start enjoying it. For a while I enjoyed doing nothing but if doing nothing becomes a routine you get bored of it as well. You get bored of being bored. I decided to keep my back straight for a longer period of time even if at times slouching is easier. The lesson is slouching might be easier and comfy for a while…but in the long run you will have a back problem and can suffer from spondylitis.
