In all seriousness, and to be fair, she didn't win the prize or became popular because she got shot by a Taliban. There are thousands of kids who get shot intentionally or non-intentionally by the terrorists and nobody claims the prize or become famous.
Malala gained the popularity because of his courageous stand against the terrorism while still being a Muslim growing up in a surroundings infiltrated by the terrorists. The shot propelled her fame but was not the cause of her fame.
