First of all, Nepal government is being stupid again and taking wrong decision. People have right to apply for asylum not only on the basis of different political view, there are other factors too like when there is a threat to him/her ( gangsters/criminal threat, caste/religion based threat etc.) too and it is the decision of foreign country whether to grant the person or not. Another issue I have seen now is that, it means Nepal government do not want them to come back to the country. What will those people will do if they are not being granted and case goes on pending, and those people feels back to come back to their native home. How they are going to travel without passport,(to go back to the Nepal) they will be dumped in foreign country. It affects both real and fake people. The person who are granted asylum will ultimately going to make citizenship of that country after several years, and if he/she does so, ultimately they will quit Nepali citizenship, so why would they apply now for Nepali passport? People who are willing to make passport means they have still feeling " we are going to Nepal" , those will not apply for it who are citizens of foreign because they cannot, and there is no dual citizenship system in Nepal. Just my few thoughts.
