Not sure if he is a martyr but be sure is a badass on my book. I believe he did ask for that money but for reasons different than what is being portrayed.

If he really wanted any money he would have made a reasonable demand, like few hundred thousands. How can you put a price to your son's death. I truly believe this is why he blurted out a ridiculous demand. Either that or you find my son's murderer.
