@ Nilasha- With all due respect I would like to know if your mother celebrated Teej or not and what your father has to say about it? I assume you father might have said don't do it or it's not necessary but your mother did it any way. That's what happened in my case.

Every country has its unique culture and tradition. And i know you know it. If you talk with americans about our culture I will guarantee you that they will be surprised or they might not believe it e.g. teej

Culture/traditions/beliefs these are difficult to change. It might change eventually but its difficult. Lastly, don't compare our counrty with america. We have our own way of doing things and vice-versa. Thanks...
