Let me say this for the last time and let's agree to move on (you can have the last word).

You started your response as, " I have another method for the first puzzle: " and then immediately came up with one assumption. You then logically solved the problem for that and only that assumption. To have "another method for the puzzle," you need to try the other assumptions also and that's the point I was making. Solving a problem under one assumption is not really solving it. I never said assumptions are wrong, just test all the assumptions possible before you say you found the "other method for the puzzle." Look at Behoove's and Som's answer; all the assumptions are explored.
