My grandpa used to listen to his vintage tombstone radio having round bandwidth indicator, and sometimes in good mood used to spill his adventures, everything from hunting wild animals, and sometimes frightening encounters with unknown. And yes I too remember very vaguely about the few private and public vehicle running in Kathmandu Valley, also there used to be one and only magazine store in New Road and people used to wait outside that store every evening to grab a hold of ‘Times of India’ or some other international magazine delivered by courtesy of RNAC, that is the only part that changed for good in Kathmandu, otherwise everything about good old Kathmandu is obscured by dust, smoke and concrete jungle.
