It is sad that the majority of the posts here deem 'love' and 'sex' synonymous. It need not be so. Maybe, this is one of the reasons why people find it hard to form stable relationships these days, especially online. When it's sex you are looking for rather than a true friendship, it is little wonder that the relationships formed with this type of mindset don't last. I totally disagree with the propostition that onine relationships equates sex-- or nothing. I enjoy healthy friendships with numerous chat friends of mine. Had it only been for sex, none of these tenuous bonds would have lasted for any lenght of time. I am not a puritan, not by a long shot; but I am not ready to believe that all inter-gender affiliations online need only be centered around sex. And I agree with many friends that if the initial acquaintances are furthered through face-to-face meetings, the relationships may only be bolstered-- a few exceptions notwithstanding.
