Look "beachlife" and "Mahakal", if u guys haven't even experienced life abroad and haven't experienced colleges here how can u say these things for fact??? I used to think the same way........realized how different US is! And I am not being "childish" beachlife.......for stating the facts that's true!! And nepali people who go to Europe, they do have to work too for your information! Nepalese in UK yes they do work their ass off....I have friends in new zealand, ,spain, yes they have to work!! And what's so wrong in working and making your own money instead of asking from dad? I don't want to be that childish to ask money from dad even I am capable to pay my own???I would rather work hard myself than letting my dad work hard for my education!!! Well "mahakal", even though I am busy..... answering to this thread doesn't take that much time does it? If u think canadians don't accept US degree then why flock of canadians come to US colleges and work here. Why not stay in their own country? I have known so many canadian doctors who rush here for jobs........why is that? Better opportunity and prestige! And for your chinese friends....... "university of southern california" is okay school...............having a degree doesn't guarantee a job u silly! U have to look for it, do networking, know how to look for job. Yes job market is competitive but one should know how to look for it. It is rather silly to work in a liquor store .....even a person with a minimum techical education from anywhere(let's say not USA) can grab a job of an technical administrative in a good office!! I have been to British and american council in Nepal...... no way u can get all the books u want like here. U are kidding right?? Your sankar dev college doesn't have that either. Are u comparing them with world famous libraries here then u haven't seen the libraries here.....even though u say u have been to north america. U have no clue dear! It's amusing to see u compare these! The resources here are definitely vast...if u really want to study computer science yes u can do that with freaking manual or a book but what goes in universities here are not only computer training but board educational reasearch on technology itself. The proprotion of time spent on research, training, administrative are much more. Faculty members at universities normally spend a significant part of their time doing research. Every now and then actual people who make these softwares or applications from IBM, MICROSOFT, MACROMEDIA etc come and give u the whole perspective and also u have an opportunity to do internship in a big technological companies .......which is a must before u work. Now I doubt that Nepal has that kind of facilities! I don't think Nepali colleges even require internship!! We just don't go to school and train technically but we do learn about broad liberal arts education which is mandatory and therefore u get way more than just technical skill. The federal, state and local governments have invested a great deal in policy development, research and training, all of which benefits the entire economy. Corporations and private institutions also play an important role, by needing more qualified workers and by funding laboratories, research, and study. Faculty, researchers and corporate CEOs have joined together to become leaders in fields such as technology, communications, medicine, astronomy, and engineering etc. Now I don't think Nepali government has that much money or willingness to spend on education! Last year alone 500,000 foreign students came to study in US. Why all these CEOs from Japan, UK, Russia come here to study further? Why all the royalties from all over the world send their kids here??why?? And about the jumra issue...... we meant "nepalese in USA" not americans!! that was a reference for typical nepali women gossiping together.....that u pointed to me earlier! well I don't think u should compare that way! Yes, no doubt people in villages and in KTM have jumras....... everybody knows that....... are u ashamed? And it is a fact that there is no lice problem with whoever lives in USA!! The whole point was to make my point to your previous link that yes I don't have to time to gossip like that and look for jumras and we don't have one!! U don't have to lecture me on where I came from but yes I have learnt one or two good things from here to take a shower daily!!!!!!
