There is this universe which has space. Think about what would happen if there was no universe and no space. How could this space disappear when the space exist. According to wiki, 30,000 years ago, the sewage system in current day Indus Valley (somewhere in Pakistan) was more advanced than what it is today. God did not exist 30K years ago.
