Fine, let's take your path and start quoting religious textures as it they are absolute truth.
Now you quoted a verse of Bhagvat Geeta, without knowing or understanding the context; you must be working for Fox News.
You want me to elaborate? Let's do that.
This is the verse you quoted
7:20
kamais tais tair hrta-jnanah
prapadyante 'nya-devatah
tam tam niyamam asthaya
prakrtya niyatah svaya
This is Krishna speaking. He is saying that materialistic minds surrender to demigods which is bad. Yes, that's what you said, but did you read the next few verses?
7:22
sa taya sraddhaya yuktas
tasyaradhanam ihate
labhate ca tatah kaman
mayaiva vihitan hi tan
Pay attention to the last two lines:
(translated from asitis.com):
labhate--obtains; ca--and; tatah--from which; kaman--desires; maya--by Me; eva--alone;vihitan--regulated; hi--for; tan--those.
Or, Krishna is claiming that he alone regulates and bestows those benefit to the humankind.
Krishna is basically saying we should all pray him, not any other God. Now, you could come up with any interpretation as you chose. Krishna could be your senses, Krishna could be in your heart or it could be a superior God that we pray.
You might now say Krishna is Jesus, then; sure you can say that. I will then point you back to what he is saying in this verse; ONLY HIM, NO OTHER GOD!! Not even father of Jesus!!!
