You are running with a hypothesis that going back is bad, or that one should try to stay here in US. Why?
Having been in US most of my adult life, I am heavily intermingled in the US culture. Yet, I was born in Nepal and there is sense of belonging back home as well. There's nothing wrong with that will of wanting to go back, as much as it's not wrong to want to stay here.
