The problem that has creeped into the system is that there are duplicate entries for the teams. At some point in time, the administrator may have added in a team that was already in the system hence now although the team name is same, the underlying ID is different and when a different ID is selected, the scores are not set correctly.

At this point I am not sure what to do because if I delete duplicate entries, they might erase past history of selections and also affect the ongoing picks. The best thing to do would be to choose the first entry if there are more than one entry for the same team. If the admins and pickers use this same logic then there would be less problems going forward.

And in the meantime I will be racking my brains a little to find a solution for this.
