As you said science is the explanation of the experimental facts of outer materialistic world, you are absolutely right. Quantum mechanics were developed, mainly by Heisenberg to explain some experiments that couldnýt be explained by well established classical mechanics. For the first time, Bohr mixed Plankýs quantum theory with classical mechanics to explain Hydrogen spectra, and could explain successfully to some extent. Well established wave theory of light became insufficient to explain some experiments like photoelectric effect and Campton effect. Such experiments could easily be explained by particle theory of light ie they must consider light as quanta = particle, instead of wave. How come? Quanta canýt explain the experiments like, interference, diffraction and polarization, to explain these experiments light must behave like wave. So scientists were/are bound to take light as wave as well as particle, this is wave particle duality. This universe is made up of two things, one is matter and another is energy. Energy is electromagnetic radiation ie light which has wave particle duality, somewhere wave nature is predominant and somewhere particle. So, DeBroglie, thought counter way, how about matter? Matter is made up of three fundamental particles, electron, proton, and neutron. If energy which is known as wave can behave as particle, then these particles which are known as particles can behave as wave. He proposed a theory on this and later proved (all electron microscopes works according to this principle) that electron, proton and neutron also behaves like a wave, and they also show dual nature of wave and particle. So, scientists declared that ýthe entire universe is nothing but waveletsý. True, the experiment shows that energy is wave and matter, which is composition of three fundamental particle is also a wave, entire universe doesnýt contain other than energy and matter. Now, what Vedanta says about this? Vedanta says only about consciousness, doesnýt say anything about matter is not true, it says something. Vedanta says body is motionless, Jad. Body which is matter, made of more or less 95 natural elements, mainly Carbon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, and Calcium contains nothing but electrons, protons and neutrons. All these electrons, protons and neutrons are wave, so can wave be motionless? Can it be Jad? Donýt give logic to me, according to quantum mechanics it is wave, which is experimental fact, but according to Vedanti Rishi (or philosopher????) it is motionless thing. Big contradiction, one who has done experiment in inner direction could have seen this body as wavelet, which is the fact. So either you have to accept Vedanta or quantum mechanics, they says just opposite things. ýPragyapti Sthapitva Vishesena Passatiý, apparent truth should be seen as it is to see the real truth, the solid material outside is apparent truth, the reality is wavelets. Regarding consciousness, quantum mechanics will always remain silence because it only deals with matter and its nature. (I knowingly hided the material of this paragraph, this was only for open minded highly intersted explorers :)) Name of those scientists you have counted who knew Vedanta donýt seem to have significant contribution on Quantum mechanics. Credit solely goes to Heisenberg for the development of quantum mechanics. His friend Pauli has side contribution. Dirac and Schrýdinger wrote quantum mechanics in different language, Dirac wrote in the form of Bra and Ket, where as Schrýdinger wrote in the form of wave function. Regarding Schrýdingerýs Cat, it is a paradox of quantum mechanics :). This thought experiment violets the quantum mechanics. There are some paradoxes like this which violet highly sophisticated theories, like twin paradox violets the relativity theory. Please correct mistakes yourself and read it. I have written this for the welfare of open minded friends. I think I have written enough for couple of months :). Vishowntar
