"BUT I am not giving LOk Man Karki a pesonal thumbs up. In my opinion we shoud stop patronizing, he did what he supposed to do  and CIAA was created to do thta.

As nepali citizen we should demand more from him, because He is being paid by the tax payers money."

I Don't agree with you on this. Keeping aside his controversial past and some significant doubt that he will honestly investigate cases that are related to top political leaders (specific cases like maoist cantonment kanda, or invidivual property made by illegal means), we have to give him some thumbs up. About the salary he gets as CIAA chief, i believe that is not an important amount for him being a 'Dhani Bau ko choro' besides the pension he would have received as a retired chief secretary. So, anyone who is trying to do some good deserves some applause.

But, i don't like CIAA's and government's interest in implementing a 2033 BS- useless law. Any law that restricts the people's right should be abolished. There are hundreds of other important things  to do with limited government machinery than to count people in a gathering or party. Tax office can carefully examine the account of hotels and party palaces at the end of year and pursue any customer who has paid a big bill.

After hearing Lok Man's interview at BBC, I think he is a god fearing person. He can do a lot if he wants, he is one of few powerful persons in country now. Only 2/3 majority of the parliament can sack him after an impeachment motion. So, he is free and independent as are justices in Supreme Court.
