I think Kalki and kali can be used interchangeably. Kalki is the god/ avatar of the yug kali. Another name is Birupaksh if I am not wrong. Never heard about growing 1/2 inch in 1000 years. But I did hear about what ne0 said, when this statue emerges fully that's the indication of the end of this yug, kaliyug. If I remember correctly, 10-15 years ago this statue was exposed only up to his chest. So, are we really heading toward the end of the yug very soon if one to believe that legend?
