Joining US Army??

Well it depends on each individual. I was young when I joined the navy and had fun for 5 years traveling around the world. Job was not easy though. It was locked job; could not quit even if I wanted to in the middle. Got out of the military with honorable discharge, went to school on GI Bill, and got my bachelor’s degree without any student loans.

I have seen some families torn apart from military jobs (Yes! even Nepalese). People make stupid simple mistakes and the consequence from military discharge other than honorable is unimaginable in the job market.

As per you, you can enlist, go to the boot camp, finish school according to your rate, get citizenship, put in package for officer (if you wanna become one), or do your time as enlisted and get out.

Talk to the Nepalese folks who are already in the Army. They would be the best people to get advice from. Weigh the pros and cons, and then decide.
