Sap dude
Not everybody is blessed like you to be a "first" class citizen back in Nepal. We also have hierarchy in Nepal. What if I was a "second" or even "third" class citizen from Nepal?
Just like you said, I'd rather be a third class citizen in the US than a "third class" citizen in Nepal.
Struggle? It's a universal thing. People struggle in Nepal too, unless you are from a rich family. Here is something that might shock you, the struggle in the US pays more than in Nepal for most people. Maybe not you.
Again, I was only writing to say that we should not decide what other people choose. This thread was started by someone asking for suggestions, not to be preached upon. Give the pros and cons based on actual facts, not emotional, and leave him to decide.

These are just my opinions. It might be the best time to join the army. After the Iraq and Afgan war, America is broke and I don't think they can afford another war for a long time. Even better, if the democract win the next election (Hillary might). Unless something like 911, I don't forsee any war soon. So take it as a job and get the GC. However, army (regardless of the country) is a tough life and it is not for weak people. Not just physical, tough emotionally and physcologically.
Good luck. We will be proud of you.
