I think its worth joining. You will get citizen in 3 months as soon as you finish the training. Yeah very few Nepalese r different n they can do better in college n get job n h1 n GC n so on. But most of the Nepalese drown in that melting pot. Just to maintain status go college, sleep less, stressed out, work in gas station n restaurants and feel like a piece of shit. After you get selected and serving 4 yrs Active duty you can go college with GI bill. Lots of Americans will treat you like a hero. You n your wife will get a good life insurance as well as health insurance policy. These are the pros but lets major the cons. The cons. are that the pay is just 1700. After serving 4 yrs active duty, you still have to serve inactive duty for 4 more years, which means you should go whenever they need you for service. If you don't comply with the deal they will strip off your citizenship. You can hide but you can't run. Further they said they supporting the Syrian rebels so chances are being get deployed there. There is always a risk. In the battlefield its better to die than get wounded specially losing wombs n legs. Also i heard weak guys get raped by tougher guys.
If I were u I would have join. Its worth joining than working in a gas station or restaurant n just going college for status. 28th amendment is wrong about America not caring about your degree. They do care if you are the best.

P.S. It take 30 yrs for some people to get citizenship but you can do it in 3 months
