Symbol of love.

This thread is getting awfully funny (pun intended). Why does sex always have to be ridiculed? Why does it have to be seen as blasphemous? Heck, even the Gods do it! And especially the Gods do it! If humans were made as an image of God, then the fact that humans have sex logically means "so do the Gods!" Krishna was the divine lover -- yeah, sure we can sugarcoat it and say his love for Radha and the Gopis was a "higher form" of "divine" love. Then we're implying that having sex (or "making love") is a "lower" form of love. Are we doing that? I can anticipate a rebuttal to this effect "Well, it depends on WHO one is having sex (or making love) to" and I can buy that argument because I can see the merit in "differentiation" which is valid. But imposing a hierarchy doesn't sit well with the notion of what love is. And Love, in the end, is just love -- why should there be a hierarchy? Sure, there is a difference in the way love is felt. But must the difference be viewed in a spatial metaphor where one "form" of love is higher or lower? As Gertrude Stein said, "A rose is a rose is a rose is a rose!" And love is as natural and as beautiful as a rose! In peace.
