I lived in Iowa (not cedar rapids though) for couple of years and i know there are some nepalis in cedar rapids. des moines has the largest nepalese in iowa. we used to play the volleyball with the guys from cedar rapids and hence the best to get to know the people from rapids would be getting engaged in the sports or some other activities.
