If you are gona get the ipad then get the lastest ipad. The ipad 2 is only a hundred dollar less but it lacks the new retina display which i think is one of the most important aspect of using the ipad. So definetly go with the latest one. 

Apparently the ipad3 has been discontinued so ipad4 is the new ipad3!
