Sadly, I haven't read the book yet and not watched the movie too, but have very often heard about it from my friends. Well, it is certain that without black, white wouldn't have existed and that's what the dualities are all about and they hover all around us. And as far as I know, all the spiritual teachings suggest we should remain above the dualities (a ploy of nature), or above the nature itself. So as the true happiness is concerned we cannot achieve it remaining in the nature, we must move a step further to feel it.
