Maximum, thank you for trying to put this trying incident into perspective. It is amazing that at this point in time when we all believe that we are so well-informed, we forget that we are all human beings. Let's not forget that religions are constructions of social ideals. Granted that most people have deep-rooted, genuine belief in their respective religions, those religions are not important than humanity and having empathy for your fellow man or woman. What happened to our Nepali brothers was heinous, and I believe none of us Nepalis would hesitate to show them the same level of callousness. But, those militants are different from our Nepali Muslims. Some of them have been living in Nepal for generations, just like most of us. Being Muslims, they too could have chosen the path West to Mecca, but they came to Nepal for the peace that she affords.
