Now Now, I would not be so quick to make judgements. While the story does show the wife in some kind of bad light, the intentions behind her actions are not well-explained (which is why I am dying to read more). I wonder if they will actually do it though, because to me, it looks like they are still in love. On one hand, the guy is running away from himself (and consequently from his wife), but on the other hand, he is constantly driven towards her because of her forgiving nature. Great piece, overall!
