Anger is the first reaction we have when something like this happens. To psychologically soothe ourselves we want to blame somebody, Girija, Gyane, Maoist, Bush whoeverý Only relationship that created a bond between these 12 poor Nepalese and us and is the geographic boundaries we share as a Nepalese. Regardless of the so called ýrelationshipý we have as citizens of Nepal, at times like this we want to form a deeper relationship with them. The reason is especially people like us who have left Nepal in search of better life for us and our families feel guilty inside for not doing anything to stop this or getting an opportunity to do anything. We are helpless but yet have longing to do something so that all the people that live within the boundaries we share have a life style like us or even better. So playing the blame game at times like this not a solution. Our human reaction tells us to have solutions now. But in reality thatýs not gonna happen. Perhaps there is NO solution. At a time like this only thing we can do is pray for the bereaved souls and extend help we can to their friends and families. These poor 12 people are no different than our ýBahadur Gorkhesý who fought in various wars to save a rich manýs dignity. It was not their war; it was a war against their poverty they were trying to alleviate at home. This is no different than other 100s and 1000s of women who are sold, raped and killed in countries like India and in Arab. So friends, today as we all scramble to find news on these poor Nepalese, we are at the height of our frustrations. We have to ask ourselves, what are you and I willing to do so that we can create an economy within our own boundaries so that the citizens of Nepal donýt have to leave their homeland again. What can we do to create a sustainable environment where a 10 yr old does not have to trade a pen for M16? If we canýt do anything then we have no right to blame anyone. Take the reality with a grain of salt and wash it down with a malt liqueur! Until today there were no major speculations against these 12 folks. Our attitudes have been ý jaba vayo rati, taba budhi tanti.ý Other than our idiot minister openly saying that the govt. will not be responsible since they entered illegally, what measures were taken by them. What measures were taken by us? Did we request the Bush government to intervene? Did we send delegation in White House to see if they can do something? We are a country of citizens that went to DC to protest against the so called F@#King ýregression in Nepalý but did anyone of us go to the street to help these poor 12 poor Nepalese who lost their lives to save lousy $100/month. NO! So accept the reality folks! We are where we are for a reason! Pashupatinath le hami sabai ko rakshya garun! Yeah F@#King Right!
