Let me ask one more question. . . how many people that are and stay together have found their soulmate. I won't even address the God issue here, but what is the probability that out of the billions of people on this earth, you will find "the one." That is the myth associated with romance, love and relationships. I believe in the three, but I do not believe the myth. But not unlike other myths, it does serve a purpose. It gives us something to look forward to. I like the previous answer that a whole bunch of people come close and the rest is timing and how you grow together. If the timing is wrong, then two people who might otherwise be good together will not work. Growing to respect/admire/and sacrifice for someone is the backbone of the myth. That growth and committment that follows is what is important. The myth just makes you feel better about something that is already good. Just my two cents, but I am no expert.
