When I was in Nepal, I used to think USA is a land of riches, of course it is. But never ever imagined in my dream that here we've people living par below standard. All we see there on TV and that we hear is nothing but just fabricated superficial dream which sort of gives you the illusion that money grows on tree out here. They still think and if we speak of the truth, we are lying. According to one stat, 1 out of 6 Americans is hungry. That gives the clear picture. 58% Americans live under poverty line and they collect food stamps. Number of homeless population is growing. Hopelessness is everywhere esp at this time around when the world economy is stricken with crisis. America is no different.
USA is not only the land of dream and hope, the other side of the coin tells the different story.
Be proud you have house/property at least back home, these ppl don't have.
That guy who committed suicide probably lost everything even back home after paying 25 lakhs to 'dalal' and may be was in deep depression after what he saw things here.
NOTE: Any friends back in Nepal, if you have that amount of money you can start something from the scratch over there as well or be prepared for everything unimaginable not just golden dreams when you step in this country.
