if you are on H1B  and  trying to travel back to Nepal, I heard there are some cases pending in American Embassy in Nepal.

When some h1b holders went back to Nepal, they were investigated on the on company who filed their H1B to see if they were blacklisted. 

So, some company might suggest  to travel to Canada and get  passport stamped if you are on H1. It might be the same for H4 but I am not too sure, you might have to talk to some immigration lawyers just to make sure, she will not get stuck in Nepal like others on H1B.
