It is good to see returnees. China has seen a flock of these within the recent years, however, returnees are no longer valuable as they used to be 7-10 years ago. Then, returnees experienced and learnt a lot of new technologies abroad that Chinese counterparts didnt get to see. So they were paid and valued higher as they put it into work when they returned. Now, a returnee should have to compete with a local resident graduate for a $500/mo job as Internet has made education/learning very accessible anywhere.

The biggest win for a nation is a returnee with tons of money. And someone who is absolutely trying to build massive infrastructure using the money and earning and re-investing. And the more ties to foreign market the better, that way you can sell abroad. That doesnt mean only those who have money should return. If you believe in yourself and innovate, build businesses and make money in Nepal and pay taxes in Nepal (doesn't matter where you got your higher education) , I will always applaud you. I have seen more motivated local residents than returnees with this sort of mentality. Actually, more awesome is people who have got their businesses there and opening up branches abroad and hiring people abroad to do their job. Hey, there is one way you can tie yourself as giving back. Work for a Nepalese multinational company :)
