GT bro sir, in this last year, I was in Nepal several times to start up small organization what will be perhaps in Tamsaling area. Not being tamang I hope I won't be kicked out.  i can not be narcist more than that.

Regarding panchayat, well 2046 I was there in street protesting it expecting things will be better after that. did it really happen? the answer is simple NO.

I am not saying panchayat is or monarchy is the only way forward, my intention is to objectively (bastavik ra bastugat) analyse the development patterns during pre-panchayat era or post-democracy era that is it. So I find King Mahendra's rule ( not perhaps Birendra's rule) during panchayat was far better-
1) nepal got UN regognition while sikkim was swallowed by friendly neighbor.
2) patan /balaju industrial area established during that period.
3) janak pur ciggrette factroy, himal cement, hetaunda cement, bhrikuti paper milss, bansbari chalajutta and many more industruies were established, later most of these privatised or closed after 46. Can you say these are not the fact.
4) when was east west highway built?
5) when was royal nepal academy was established to promote nepali art and culture?
6) laxmi prasad devekota then education minister acquired land in kirtipur for TU so that poor kids from all around the country could study-what is happening now?..well bro list goes on...yes panchayat was certainly not good for handful politicians but for the poor people/working people that period was far better. you take it or leave it it is upto you. btw, dr. brb would not have been dr. if he had not got colombo plan to study architecture, can you imagine how the scholarships are being distrubuted now???
