When are we going to have responsible politicians who don't have to rely on crippling the citizens to meet their own personal goals?

NAWALPARASI, MAY 16 -

Pedestrians, who were stranded at Nawalparasi because of the series of strikes, have taken control of the ambulances and press vehicles at the highway along Bardghat of Nawalparasi on Wednesday. A clash also erupted between the protestors and the pedestrians.

The pedestrians took control of the ambulances, carrying seriously injured patients and pregnant women, citing that they would not let the vehicles pass unless they were given a means of transportation out of the place.

The vehicle taking the dead body of Ganesh Bahadur Rana, who had dies in Saudi Arabia recently, has also been stopped at the highway. Although security personnel have been deployed, they have not been able to take the situation under control.

“I have been stranded here since fours days with my two children. We had no choice but to interfere,” said Pradeep KC, one of the pedestrians.

Meanwhile, a woman gave birth to a baby during the inteference in a bus. However, the child could not live longer than an hour as no medical facility was provided. The condition of the mother is also critical, said Yadu Rimal of Bardghat Police Station.
