Melina,
Gunda does not mean that you just kill him while
he is on motorbike. Does the crimes he committed
fit, the punishment he got? You can not kill someone
who committed a crime? My question is that should
not the punishment fit his crime. Should we kill just
because he is dada?
Was he killed in encounters? Does not look like so.
Maoists way of punishing peoples for a crime is deplorable.
We will not need more time to hear when you ask the
same question when a person you know closely is heavily
punished for a crime that does not fit the degree of punishment.
This is just another Gunda-gardi, and it will keep in reciprocating
and its repurcation effects in society. This is a lawlessness,
and as Padma Ratna Tuladhar claims that Maoists don't have
to follow the law of Nepal, because they have their own unwritten
(publicly unavailable for discussions or disagreements).
So, I am not going to accept this killing as a punishment for a Gunda.
I wanted him to get fair trial and his punishments should fit his crime.
The current punishment he got was something like punishment for the
crime he did and plus addtional punishment to teach others (threaten)
others that see you commit a crime, the punishments will be too heavy.
That is important here. If you are agreeing with this punishment tricks,
then, your mentality clearly shows old feudal mentality and support
to anarchism.
Let everyone get a fair trial.(whatever their crime level is)
