I took the GMAT about a year ago, and did pretty well. Here are some tips: 1. I mostly studied from "Cracking the GMAT" - Princeton Review. 2. I also bought the ETS official guide to GMAT. You should be able to buy both of these books on ebay. It is dirt cheap in there. 3. I googled "gmat practice" and took several free tests online. 4. I made a log of all the difficult questions that I encountered for both math and verbal and would periodically try to do them. 5. The biggest secret to doing well is no secret - Practice, practice, practice. However, don't just take tests for the sake of it. Remember to go back and revise the questions once you are done with the test and try to understand the explanation very well. Good luck!
