I did not read any of the posts but here is what I experienced.

My only answer, NO STUDENT LOANS IN NEPAL as Indians get loan in india for higher studies.

As I studied, worked, gave GRE , applied for univ staying in India, and my preparation was similar to my Indian friends. For 2 years masters, they take 1 year's expenses as student loan and other year's expenses they show other business/properties etc.
They get student loan easily without intrest ( or may be very less interst ) of any amount. In 2006 people get 7 Lakh INR loan without any colateral.
So, first shocking thing as I came to nepal for visa was to know there is "no student loan". S**t...... Then I had to do what others did to work around with the loan and fees. Rest of stories you all know how it goes.

If I had got student load, I would have taken and paid back just like my indian friends did, BS.

If there is possibility of getting student loan in nepal without colateral, without interest or with very less interest I'll be glad to know.
