khate bro, kuro ta lyaaeu timle, tara yo muslim ra hindu ko kuro chahi kina bhane ni? one thing that i'm pretty sure about is muslims value their religion much more than we hindus do. if their religion commands, they give their best to make fulfill it. but we hindus are more laid back. saying that, how can you say that hindus or, in more general term we Nepalis "shake in our boots" or become scared when dealing/practising our culture in front of white people? if you are scared, that's your problem, you can't generalize it to everyone.

i eat daal bhaat everyday in front of my white roommates, WITH MY HANDS. when they saw it the first time and asked what i was doing; i said that i'm eating my food with my hands and that's what i've been doing my entire life. i listen to all kinds of nepali/hindi music in my room and the volume is always up (i.e. they can hear and are curious about it), i proudly say that i am a Hindu and i don't eat beef like you guys do because we worship cows, i admit without hesitation (when the topic pops up) that our society has caste system and arrange marriage still prevails. i go to nearby temple whenever possible, i go to all major festivals/events like - dashain, tihar, and holi and even take my roommates with me when they can.

now, you tell me man - how am i a coward? if you don't have balls to walk in front of whites being yourself - that's your problem. do not generalize it. i have seen the muslims, and indians too - how they practise their culture and religion. but i don't give a damn about that. stop comparing Nepali people to others; they are better in their own way; we in ours.
