iPhone vs Android

I agree with utousucks in some aspects but in my opinion android is not far behind iphone either. I have been using android phone since the begining. I bought the first android phone called G1 back in 2007. It was lagy and too many force closes. Personally I didn't really liked that phone a lot. Then I switched to window phone calles HTC HD2 some time in 2009. Hardware wise this phone is a great phone. I was not familier with the window phones back then, so decided to give it a try. After using it for a week i found out that window 6.5 os is a horrible piece of s**t. Very limited apps, paid apps were too expensive, even the inbuilt alarm clock didn't functioned properly. I was mad with this device and the window os. Luckly I found out a way to load a cooked android rom on HTC HD2. And then I never had to look back again.

First I installed Android Froyo. This OS was amazing. Evev though HD2 was not a native android phone, android ran perfectly. No force close error and the app market were full of amazing apps. I realised that android os has come a long way since the first phone launchd. And then this summer I installed latest Gingerbread cooked Nexus rom. So far, I am thrilled with the proference. What I think is, Android is the future of the mobile OS. It is a open platform OS with the unlimited resource from Google. Developers are working 24/7 to develope the Android. Currently android has the biggest market share in the smart phone business. With the integration of Motorolla Mobility with Google, I clearly see a potential on future android phones.

I am not a big fan of apple but honestly I was eagerly waiting for the new Iphone since summer. I was expecting for something big from iphone. But found out it was not as desairable as I expected. But I bought it any way for my wife. I had an i pod touch before but never had any iphones since I was not an iphone fan boy. There is no doubt that  iphone is currently a great value phone. It has the best hardware and software integration. Touch screen feels smooth and display is great. Game apps are perfect. For a general use iphones is a good choice.

Now lets come to the point. Which one is better? Android or apple OS? Below are some of the facts that will help to decide.

Android:
1. Open source software with endless possibility.
2. Highly customable home screen.
3. Swipe screen unlock and keypad.
4. Customizable widgets.
6. Fast growing apps.
7. Vast selection of devices.
8. Ability to copy files from the computer simply with drag and drop.
9. Easy to tweak OS if you are into programming.
10. Very user friendly. ( at least for me)
11. Hundreds of devices with variable price range.

Iphone (OS)
1. Good hardware and software integration.
2. Game apps are great.
3. Good looking and desirable phone.
4. Smooth touch screen.
5. Best camera and video recording on mobile device.
6. Biggest app market.
7. Presence of itunes and icloud.
8. Great resell value.

So the ultimate decision for which is best, depends upon the individual preference. I personally prefer Android phones because it is highly customizable and user friendly. I can easily drag and drop my mp3 and any video format files on android phones. Basically android can do any thing that ios can do.  Androis is a tool and it is best for those who like to play around with system files. ios on the other hand is great if you go for the looks and games. Other are just the myths.

P.S. : utousucks!! what made you think that window os is better than android?? Just curious :)
