Please help about my computer related major

MIS, CIS, BBIS are all the same with different names and may be little or more management classes. The difference between Computer Science and MIS can be compared with an Aeronautical engineer, and a pilot. While Aeronautical engineers build Airplanes, Pilot s fly them.

In simplest analogy the same holds true betn computer science, and MIS.

While Majoring in computer Science entails a detailed study of computer architecture, MIS and other fields embodies management courses, and computer courses.

If you want to make good money with less hassle MIS is the pathway (MIS Graduates in average earns more than Computer Science  Graduates) .

If you are a real devout in the mechanics of computer, Computer Science should be your choice.

What ever you decide to do make sure you focus on one or two specific fields and specialize on that.

Another perk of being a MIS graduate is later on your career you will be managing computer engineers, computer science Graduates that’s if you have the capability since you would have acquired Management Skills as well.
