I agree completely with dhirajojha.
These so called Nepalese restaurent (and all south Asian restaurent in general) exploit hard working students. They dont even get national minimum wages and tips are for the owner.
I can only laugh at the suggestion maid my Kul Acharya. The rule in UK means he cannot allow more than 20 hrs for one student. If he is dependent on students to run his business he must be employing them more than 20 hours which is illegal.
And the talk of damage to cultural and social reputation made by these restaurent, I have been to more than 15 Nepalese restaurent here, no on serves any authentic dish. The only things that is added into the Indian restaurent menu to make it Nepalese is Allo Tama and MoMo (mind you Momo is not authentic Nepalese food but an adapted one from Tibetian cusine).
No doubt , Nepalese students will suffer a lot but to say that Nepalese business is nothing else than saying that their illegal business will shut down due to shortage of migrants who they can exploit.
My heart goes with all the Nepalese students who will either have to return or turn into illegal migrant.
