I remember having a delicious lunch at a restaurant called Persian Grill at the outskirts of Philadelphia.  Don't let the name fool you because it is owned and operated by Nepalis and lot of Nepalis from the area go there regularly to eat and meet.  Google it.  That might be one option for you to get in touch with other Nepalis in your area.
