US entry: 2009 Jan First tax filing date: 2010 Jan Filed as: Resident Now I want to file as a non resident alien. Currently I'm working in OPT and will go for H1 visa soon. I don't want to take any chance to spoil my H1 visa application because of my tax status. Should I file as a non resident alien? suggestion please.
