Just to clarify a bit about this "Nepali " thing and where it came from.
PNS conquer all three principality of the Kathmandu valley and started residing in the valley. Then, from the then country side of the new born state; people start saying "nepal jane" in Nepali or ur or CT dai's word khas kura. So, since the King was living in the Nepal uptyaka, foreigners and citizens alike start calling Nepal to the territory where the King of Nepal conquered. Mind you even till late 19th century, the word Nepal associated with Valley in general for other citizens. Till mid of 19th century, King of Nepal and king of gorkha, bajang, palpa were stil considered to titled whic you can read being used pervasively till the last 5 crowns were thrown out few years back. By late 19th century, the use of word King of Nepal so pervasively used that entire country ruled by King of Nepal was started to known as Nepal. Yeah, you might be wondering why it is not named Gorkha; which might have solved many predicaments of both you and Chana dai as it would have been Gorkhali and Gorkha. The word Nepali came from the notion that Nepali is what king of Nepal speaks.
And, btw, PNS was not from khas region, he was from gandak region which is not a traditional khas region. So I don't know the name of the language even when PNS attacked ktm was named as "khas" or "gorkhali". Khas region is associated with west side of "Greater Nepal".
The present day Nepali is fundamentally different than Khas. So, if we change the name of the language from Nepali to Khas; then if tomorrow some another tribe rejected the name khas; then what we the 'nepali' speaker name it ? This is too much of radical thinking to go back and change the name of something which has been changed more than 200 years back. And, it wasn't done by any Royal proclamation or group of bahuns and chettris decided it. Time does many things and it is one of them. Even we do change name of the language now, I am pretty sure there will be some CT2 and daboo2, who wants to call the name of the country Gorkha as you guys (also current revolutionaries) are pointing out Nepal is just associated with the valley. No? So I think before you guys voicing for change of Nepali into Khas, how about voicing changing the name Nepal to Gorkha, Sinjha or whatever you wish; as I think, I was able to explain why language of King of Nepal was called Nepali. If not, please let me know I can explain one more time.
Now, let me go to slightly different context of who are Newars? Newar are to be the indigenous people of the KTM valley. But wait, the modern day culture of the Newars can only be traced back to Jayasthiti malla. What was it before that?
So by daboo's logic, if Ari Malla loved newar culture; he wouldnt have attacked it. Right? So, according to daboo, the present day newar actually celebrating their culture given by the successors of the king who was there to destroy the Newar's culture. Am I right daboo?
Bottom line, I just put some words to call u a dumbass; who has no idea of what you are talking about. You cant put a single logical statement or cohesive argument but yet you are here to JUDGE others parents and upbringing?

I guess we can discuss this in person someday. But I do think you have three fundamental flaws:
1. You are twenty years late for many of things you are saying. Yeah, I have read you repeating of Mahendra's one language and band of Nepal Sambhat etc in every few other post.
2. I don't think sajha is proper plaform for you to come up with these rhetorics. Most of us here in sajha don't remember much before '90 and many grew up in KTM with many many Newar frens with whom we have similar behaviors, hobbies and a bit competition to have better English. Yes, you read correctly I didnt say Nepali. So, your over the top rhetorics for "outsiders" sounds weird to most of us.
3. Third, history is not ur bastion. You have nobel intent, I don't have any doubts about it.
