Why are we so ugly?

The problem I think is presentation rather than the "beauty" itself. Now that I have decided to jump on this seemingly superficial (yet entertaining and maybe even relevant) topic, here is my two cents:

We lack presentation well maybe some of you don't, but I did (not saying that I am Brad Pitt, but I hope you get the point), the first few years of standing on my own two. The biggest factor is money and time, there are a cornucopia(this word is very new to me and I had to use it :P) of reasons why we lack both. I would not mind going as far as calling it a lack of necessity to look good, lack of which again, has as many reasons.

Let's see: even if we have very little money, we can afford buying some decent clothes (non-brand name works just fine if you know how to carry yourself) , eat fairly healthy home cooked/prepared food (at least 6-10 times a week, food that does not constitute much fat and lots of nutrients), excercise on a regular basis (hitting the gym would be nice, but there are plenty of ways to stay fit without the gym). These some of us simply are not motivated enough to do. Again, reasons are plentiful, I do not want to digress.

I am mostly speaking of people in the US as I am a kuwa ko bhyagutto and would rather not comment about people that I have not seen.

I have realized that 10(20 if you are super into it) minutes a day spent on grooming yourself goes a long way. you look good, you feel good, the choice is yours. I have also learnt not to call anybody "Ugly" , because beauty is subjective. Even if you do not look good in the general sense of the word, you can stay fit and dress sharp(again not necessarily expensive). You just have to find some time and willingness.

We go through a lot of hard times in foreign lands and most of the time do not realize how important presentation is, we are concerned about lots of things, money for school for the most part and maybe money to send back home. This is FINE! but we should not forget that we cannot do this at an expense of our personality.

I admit that I have made mistakes, and I know for a fact that my fellow Nepalese have done the same , when it comes to appearance, its only fair to learn from them!

Good Luck
