It is one's life. Altruism works for some people, doesn't for others. Even if you care about nothing else in the world but yourself, you could be smart. The smartness, regardless of anything else, in itself is worthy of admiration. And, then when someone posts some personal glory someone has achieved, we are quick to point out that this is not worthy of mentioning because there are other altruistic people out there, and this person hasn't demonstrated that. Let us compare smartness to be fair. We need to wait to compare other things, if it's comparing that concerns us the most. Otherwise, we should ourselves try to do something small from our sides - instead of comparing apples and oranges in this forum!
