I  was following the discussion on the other thread, where people tried to portray one individual as a hero while his contribution is nothing, not even a bit close to  people like Dr Roit-who choose "Janmabhumi as a Karmabhumi" over fame and money. I am saddened by the fact that how we have become so materialistic that we are not being able to see the true contribution of a fellow Nepali who are working against all odds.No wonder this thread is not as active as that was!! What does  HERO mean to you friends? Ask yourself.

Also, for those who think Nepali people are jealous of other's achievement, please open you eyes, and remember how we all  celebrated Mr.Koirala win as a CNN hero!   I do not think Nepali people are jealous of one's individual achievement, I think most of us  have grown wiser to judge weather that person has made significant contribution to our society or not, so as to make that individual an  inspiring figure or hero.

People like Nirmala Gyawali, Uttam Sanjyal, Dr. Ruit, Mahabir Pun and many unknown individuals they are working in Nepal against all odds, for me you all are true HERO.

People, like us who migrated to West , does not matter if we are working in World Bank or Gas Station, doing nothing significant for the country,  in a way we all are BIG TIME LOSERS!
