Required documents: application package, college
transcript, employer letter, the actual H1b I94 mailed by USCIS,
application and photo (you can uplaod them online)

The real hassle was to get the US consular visa appointment in canada, its really hard.

After you get the appointment, you can say that you have an appointment for visa and enter canada, you can even apply for canadian visa at the border.

They expect you to stay there for 3-4 days, and you can pick up your
passport, the passport pickup is only available to candidates who come
from the US, like us.

They will stamp it for the duration of your I94

yeah extended opt should be fine.

Hope it helps
